Way back in 2001 we asked ourselves if there was a hair and beauty salon that had a crèche?  At that time we each had a young child and found it increasingly difficult just to maintain a basic level of grooming compared to our pre-mummy days.

We decided that it was time for a salon that catered to anyone that wanted terrific hair, great beauty services and even a creche if you had a young child.  yummymummys opened in April 2003.

Whilst we had no experience in this industry, we knew that every person wants their salon to have highly skilled and well trained stylists that did wonderful things with the colour, condition and style of your hair.  We knew that everyone wants a beauty therapist who knew about effective skin care, gave you the best pedicure in town plus could massage away the stresses of city living.

We knew that all mothers loved the convenience of a crèche on the same premises, and parking right outside the door that was unlimited.  And we knew that everyone loves a salon that offered so many other services like cosmetic clinic, CPL hair removal, remedial and pregnancy massage all in the same gorgeous Paddington terrace setting.

But in 2008 we decided that yummymummys had gone beyond catering just to mothers – the salon is filled with single people, men, young teens plus of course the gorgeous ladies with their beautiful bubs in tow.

Hence our new logo – it recognizes that our clients come back time and time again not because of the crèche, that’s a bonus for some, but because they want quality hair, beauty and body services in a terrific atmosphere. 

A visit to ym is about maintaining your good looks!  It’s about rewarding yourself with some time out. It’s about a great experience in beauty, health and wellness.
